Butterfly Sanctuary

Went up to Kuranda to see the Butterfly Sanctuary on September 28th. It was amazing to see butterflies flying around. I have never seen so many butterflies.

Yeah, yeah, ok, ok...another farm. At the moment I will stick to easy stuff.

Next sketch

This is of my niece Arielle when she was 5yrs old. She is now 18. I had trouble doing her nose and mouth...but this is my first attempt. I am quite happy with it.

Daylight Moonlight

This was taken a few days ago about 6.30am, looking to the west...if anyone really cares.

Flowers

Not bad for my first attempt at flowers. Never had tried before. Mum wants me to do this one as a painting. Will have a go, not sure how it will turn out.

Cliff face.

So my next sketch was this cliff face. Again from the same book the last sketch was done. I am getting the hang of it again. I want to try to copy from a photograph next. Not too sure how I will go.

Half way through the year.

It has been a couple of months since I last wrote in this, not much happened really. Then July comes and we are met with sadness in our family. My mother's sister sadly passed away. Aunty Mary was 84yrs old. Mum is now the last of the 'Dare' girls. So on that thought, decided to get her to tell me her stories of her family etc...while she still remembers.
With that keeping me busy I have also started up sketching again. It has been to long since I last did any. This farmhouse is my first sketch, I copied it from a book. Once I got started, I tried a few more....

Why Me

Why do people stop in your way, to bloody chat. Why can't they just move off to the side, and let others go about their way. Oh no, we cannot do that. And they have the hide to glare at you if you move their trolley, so you can pass. I mean to start off I already had a headache, so didn't need this. It was supposed to be an enjoyable day...just window shopping. Nice to mum and dad out for the morning. Didn't have to worry about getting any groceries. *sigh* And to top it off I missed a very important live stream (lol). Oh well, I've had my whinge..

There's a first for everything.

For the first time in my life I am lost for words as how to start this damn thing off. Sitting here for about 10mins thinking of how to start, what to say, don't sound boring, are ppl going to read this...seriously. Must say thanks to Kat for making my brain think, "Yeah, why not, I can do a blog." So, in another first I will keep it brief for my first post. As this is a new start to the day, so to speak, needs a pic I feel.
